About Us
Nay Hla and his brother Nay Lin founded Sushi Avenue 14 years ago servicing the supermarket industry with fresh sushi. As the business grew, an additional business opportunity became apparent: the need for high quality, innovative and value priced packaging solutions for refrigerated fresh sushi.
Packaging Avenue was founded in 2017, initially servicing the packaging needs for Sushi Avenue along with the company’s other ventures in the restaurant industry ( www.masusushiandrobata and www.onewtwothreesushi). A manufacturing facility was built to have greater control over quality, costs and lead times.
As the demand for recyclable food packaging grew, Packaging Avenue devoted significant resources to tackle a major issue: recyclable alternatives to expanded polystyrene foam. While inexpensive, “Styrofoam” is not recyclable. It is the company’s mission to help the environment by replacing Styrofoam with fully recyclable plastic containers.
After an extensive development cycle, Packaging Avenue now has a cost effective recyclable plastic alternative for both meat trays and deli trays.
Headquartered in Eagan, Minnesota, Packaging Avenue has 3 domestic facilities with over 200,000 square feet of warehouse space in Eagan, MN, Los Angeles, CA and Chicago, IL.
